Forty-five percent of public schools reported providing internet access to students who need it at home, and 56 percent reported providing internet to students at locations other than their home.Ninety-four percent of public schools reporting providing digital device to students who need them.Self-paced tutoring: A method of tutoring in which students work on their own, typically online, where they are provided guided instruction that allows them to move onto new material after displaying mastery of content.Standard tutoring: A less intensive method of tutoring that may take place in one-on-one, small group, or large group settings, is offered less than three times per week, and is provided by educators who may or may not have received specific training in tutoring practices.High-dosage tutoring: Tutoring that takes place for at least 30 minutes per session, one-on-one or in small group instruction, offered three or more times per week, is provided by educators or well-trained tutors, aligns with an evidence-based core curriculum or program, and is also known as Evidence-based or High-quality tutoring.The following definitions for each tutoring type were provided to respondents. Almost half of the public schools providing high-dosage tutoring reported that a lack of funding to hire staff limited their efforts in providing this type of tutoring.Fifty-nine percent provided standard tutoring, and 21 percent provided self-paced tutoring.

Below highlights the most recent data collection, followed by findings for additional topics, and a table outlining topic areas for each month of collection. Some survey questions are asked repeatedly to observe trends over time while others examine unique topics in a single month. The School Pulse Panel is a study collecting information on the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic from a national sample of elementary, middle, high, and combined-grade public schools.
